Question: Will the military pay for my car transport?
Answer: If you are doing a permanent change of station, chances are the Military will pay for one vehicle transport. Yet, do check with your CO.
Question: Are you able to pick up or drop my vehicle off at a Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) ?
Answer: Yes. In most case you will need to get a letter giving us permission to pick up or drop off your vehicle. In most cases you will have to get a notary to stamp it.
Question: Will my vehicle be insured in your care?
Answer: Yes, it will fall under cargo insurance.
Question: Am I allowed to put personal items in my vehicle?
Answer: Yes, yet only up to 100 pounds in the trunk or in back seat. If shipping to or from Hawaii, then NO, the vehicle must be complete empty and clean inside.
Question: How long does it take to ship my vehicle?
Answer: For every 500 miles, allow 2 days. That is the average. For example from San Diego to Virginia Beach, the average time is 7 to 10 days for transport.
Question: Will your driver deliver my car directly onto the base?
Answer: In most cases we meet you off base near the gate.
